Emmy Kate × French Creek Doodles Riggins

We are thrilled to announce that we have chosen the sire for Emmy Kate’s very first litter! When the timing is right, French Creek Doodles will be paired with our sweet Emmy Kate.

Every planned litter is special, but this one has been especially close to my heart. I have been dreaming about Emmy becoming a mama for nearly 18 months, and every health, genetic, and structural evaluation has been completed to ensure she is ready for this exciting next chapter.

Emmy is the definition of a Velcro dog. If I’m home, she’s right beside me, convinced that wherever I go is exactly where she belongs. Despite weighing only a few pounds, she carries herself with the confidence of a dog ten times her size. Her irresistibly soft, loose wavy fleece coat is unlike anything you’ve ever felt, and she’s an accomplished little lizard hunter who takes her backyard patrol duties very seriously!

To complement Emmy, we carefully searched for a sire who would strengthen everything we love about her while adding exceptional qualities of his own. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.

Riggins is an outstanding dog with a calm, affectionate, people-loving personality. Whether he’s meeting children, adults, or seniors, his gentle nature shines through. He brings beautiful structure, a luxurious soft straight fleece coat.  Most importantly, he possesses the kind, stable temperament we value so highly in our breeding program.

Expected Size

Expected Colors & Coat Types
We anticipate puppies in beautiful shades of red and apricot with a variety of markings, including:
    ●    Solid
    ●    Abstract (White markings)
    
Puppies are expected to have black noses, eye rims, and paw pads.
Coat textures are expected to range from:
    ●    Straight & shaggy
    ●    Soft loose waves
As with every litter, genetics are wonderfully unpredictable, so exact colors, markings, and coat types cannot be guaranteed.

Health & Genetics
This pairing has an estimated coefficient of inbreeding (eCOI) of approximately 5%, supporting healthy genetic diversity while maintaining the exceptional qualities we strive for in our program.

Both parents have completed extensive health and genetic testing in accordance with our breeding standards.

Anticipated Heat Cycle: Late December 2026

This pairing has been thoughtfully planned to produce consistent, well-rounded puppies in both structure and temperament. We expect this litter to fall on the lower end of the medium size range, making them an ideal fit for families looking for a slightly smaller medium Goldendoodle.

Both Ember and Roman carry strong furnishing genetics, so all puppies are expected to have fully furnished coats with a straight to shaggy texture—similar to their parents—creating that classic, soft teddy bear look that is both beautiful and more manageable.

In color, we anticipate rich red coats with white markings (abstract or Irish spotting patterns), along with black noses, eye rims, and paw pads. While Ember carries an undetectable white spotting gene and Roman carries one parti gene, we do not expect parti-colored puppies (greater than 50% white) from this pairing, though some variation in white markings is possible.

Temperament is a priority in our program, and both parents bring loving, balanced personalities with a nice “on/off” switch—playful and engaging, yet able to settle and relax. We expect their puppies to reflect these same family-friendly traits.

The estimated coefficient of inbreeding (eCOI) for this litter is approximately 5%, which is within the typical range for Goldendoodles and supports healthy genetic diversity.
